To Create a Logical User Account

  1. Right-click the Users node and select New > User.

    The New User Properties dialog opens.



  2. On the General tab, do the following:
    1. In the Name field, enter a unique name for the new user.
    2. (Optional) In the Description field, enter a description for the user.
    3. (Optional) In the E-mail field, enter the user's email address.

      The user's email address is required if you want that user to receive notification emails from the datasource; for example, whenever the state of a particular document is changed (see Setting Up Messaging Agents ).

    4. Set Type to Logical.
    5. In the Password and Verify password fields, enter the password to be used by the user.
      Tip: If you do not specify a password, the system will automatically make the user's password the same as their user name.
  3. Click OK.

    The user is added to the list of users.
